Sportshall Athletics

Last Thursday 14 of our Year 5/6 children walked to the Academy to compete in the Sportshall Athletics!  In the track events they were involved in an obstacle race, lap relays and an 'over/under' relay.  We were so proud of how hard all of the children worked in their various events - Richard especially showed great sportsmanship during his relay race! The field events included a chest push, standing long jump, triple jump, soft javelin and speed bounce - once again everyone gave it their all!  One child was apprehensive about the speed bounce - but in true Over St. John's spirit - they persevered and completed ten bounces in an excellent time!
