World Book Day in Delamere 2025

Today we shared the story Ollie visits the planets and used the text to find out about the eight planets. We then used non-fiction texts to find out more fun facts and figures!  We used this information to write our own fact sheets. 

The children really enjoyed our catwalk where they modelled their space themed costumes. We were impressed by some home made solar system  t-shirts, inflatable jet packs and even a flying saucer hat! They all looked great!  

Poppy treated us to a whole class story about alien school and we even found time to create our own solar system pictures using chalks and crayons. All in all a lot of fun was had! 

Thank you to the families that came and supported the Reading champions event after school. It was an afternoon of storytelling and great crafting.
