Date: 10th Mar 2019 @ 2:26pm

Once again, the children have worked incredibly hard in Blakemere, During the week, they have produced some excellent pieces of writing all about the Roman Army. The children were tasked with the job of writing an information report about the Roman Army to be included in an information text. Lots of great information and topic specific words were included.

This week has also been 'All about the maths.' The children have focused on learning about angles and how to calculate missing angles in different shapes. By the end of the week, the children had to use all of their knowldge about angles and 2d hsapes to solve missing angle problems.

In topic, we explored the benefits that the Romans brought to Britain following their invasion and learnt that they actually brought lots of positives. We will continue to explre this further when we look at the role of Boudicca.

Finally, in art, we have begun to build our Gaudi inspired chimneys based on the famous architects work in Barcelona. The children had to use templates of shapes to create the sides for their 3d structure, they had to carefully cut out the cardboard to make thier structure and join them together using masking tape.

Great job this week Blakemere.
