15.09.2019 - Our week in Blakemere

Another busy but successful week in Blakemere. The children have worked incredibly hard this week and I have been impressed with their motivation and determination.

In Maths we have been exploring 6 and 7-digit numbers - how to read them, write them in words; how to partition them in different ways and comapring and ordering them.

English has focused on making predictions and drawing inferences about our new book using our VIPERS. Once again, I was very impressed with the predictions and inferences that the children came up with.

We have begun to explore how electricity is generated and will be putting together our very own film clip next week to share our understanding.

Our secret message for this week is the answer to 6 x 7. If you have read the blog and know the answer, come and tell me on Monday.
