Well, what another fantastic week we have had in Blakemere! The children have worked extremely hard in all areas of their learning, which has been a pleasure to see. In Maths, we faced the challenge of division. The children worked hard to master the formal long division method and I was extremely impressed with their hard work and determination towards what is not an easy method. By Friday, they were showing the confidence to use the method to help them solve word problems. 

In English the children produced some beautiful poetry based on the book 'What does Peace feel like?'. They created their own poems, which have been used as part of our Remembrance work. Next week, we return to our book The Watertower.

In geography, we took a closer look at the continent of Asia. The children used atlases to help them to label the countries and capital cities.
