15.12.2017 - Oakmere's Review of the Week

Date: 17th Dec 2017 @ 8:50pm

Once again, we have worked extremely hard on lots of different tasks. We have produced list poems based on the work of Ian McMillan's 'Ten things found in a Wizard's Pocket' and created our own in terms of what you may find in a mountaineer's pocket. The children came up with some truly creative ideas, which I was very impressed with.

In Maths we have continued to explore multiplication and find patterns with different times tables.

We have been learning about volcanoes all this week so we can move on to making our own erupting volcanoes next week using vinegar and baking powder. The children will be their volcanoes from scratch before making them erupt.

After a lovely Christmas Carol Concert on Thursday evening at the Church, our week was finished off nicely with a visit to the panto. Can I say a huge thank you to the children who came to church and performed on the Thursday evening. You were all fab!

See you Monday, for an extremely messy day!
