Wow! What another busy week we have had in Oakmere!

We have been exploring finding fractions of amounts, shapes and numbers this week. We have enjoyed using our knowledge of our times tables and division to help with finding fractions of numbers.

In English, we took a little time out from our explanation unti to start to write a story based on the little girl from the 'Until I Met Dudley' book. The children's stories are based on the adventures she goes on and how she meets Dudley. The children worked extremely hard with their introduction and I shall look forward to reading the rest.

In science we set up an investigation to explore how water transports around a flower using food colouring. By the end of the week, we had started to see some changes whih we shall report on next. Keep cheking our page to find out what happened in our investigation.

The children also began to create their very own Power Point presentations this week on a chosen inventor. Power Point is a difficult computer program to use, but the children have worked well with their partner and have enjoyed experimenting and trying out different features of it.
