17.11.2017 - What's been happening in Oakmere this week?

Date: 19th Nov 2017 @ 4:13pm

We have had another busy week in Oakmere!

It has been Anti-Bullying Week with the theme of 'All different, all equal' and we have taken some time to discuss this in our class. We started off by reminding ourselves about what we should do if we were ever to witness bullying. We have this motto at school - STOP - Start Telling Over St John's People and it is something that we encourage the children to do. We also made pledges and finished off by creating a class jigsaw, which showed how we are all indivuduals but when we join together we are stronger and form a community.

In English, we have been learning about expanded noun phrases and prepositions and using this to help write a character description for Michael Recycle and a setting description for the town.

In Maths we have solving word problems in Maths using our RUCSAC and have begun to look at the formal method for subtraction.

We have also labelled the features of a mountain and found out about the water cycle.

Well done Oakmere!
