19.01.2017 - First day at Beeston

Date: 19th Jan 2017 @ 6:47pm

Wow! What a great first day we have had at Beeston. We arrived safely this morning and our adventures began with a tour of the building. We unpacked our belongings and headed outside to the adventure park. We also spent some time exploring the woods. The morning was finished off with some colouring and activities.

After we had lunch, we put on our Wellington boots, coats and hats and headed off to the farm. It was very muddy along the way so we were all glad for our wellies. When we arrived at the farm  we were met by Mr Bull (the farmer) who kindly showed us around his farm and answered lots of our questions. We were lucky enough to see the cows being milked, meet the calves and stroke them. The most exciting part of the farm visit was seeing a calf being born. The farmer has agreed to name him St. John after our school, which we were all very pleased about.

We arrived back at the lodge in time for tea, which was yummy, and for games. We are now all relaxing watching a DVD before we get ready for bed. A great end to a great day.
