19.10.18 Harvest Collection
Date: 19th Oct 2018 @ 1:43pm
As you know each class has their own 'Christian Value' One of these values is 'koinonia' which means 'community'. We thought it would be nice to do something for the community this Harvest time.
Our church, St. John's, distribute food every week to people in our community who need it. They are always looking for donations and we would like to help them with this effort. In order to do this, we have allocated a type of food to each class.
Hatchmere: biscuits, jam, chocolate treats, cakes etc.
Sandymere: Super Noodles, Mug Shots, Cuppa Soup etc.
Delamere: custard, rice pudding, sponge pudding etc.
Oakmere: toiletries (soap, shampoo, toothpaste, shower gel etc.)
Linmere: Tins (soup, fruit, tomatoes, veg, meat etc.)
Blakemere: Instant coffee, cordial, long life milk
Please look in your cupboards at home or put an extra item in your shopping over the next week and send them into school. We will transport all the items to the church and they will display everything collected at our Harvest Service on Friday 26th October.
Thank you for your generosity.
