28.09.2018 - Blakemere's blog

What a fabulous week we have had in Blakemere. I can't actually believe that we are at the end of our fourth week together already. Time really does fly when you're having fun!

In English we have been exploring creating complex sentences. The children have created some excellent complex sentences using a range of subordinate conjunctions. We have also taken on the role of Jacques Cousteau, from our book Manfish, and wrote a diary entry as if we were him.

Maths has focused on the formal methods of addition and subtraction. The children have shown a great understanding of both of these methods and have worked hard on applying them to a variety of one and two step word problems.

On Thursday, Blakemere lead the whole school collective worship. We explored the Christian Value of hope and used the story of Noah's Ark to help communicate what true hope means. Great job Blakemere!

Have a lovely weekend and I shall see you on Monday!
