7.9.18 First Week in Linmere

Wow! We have already reached the end of our first week in Linmere and what a busy week it has been! The children have all settled into class really well and we are thrilled with the work they have done and the way they have tried really hard with our new school Golden Rules. Can you remember all 6 of the rules?

The children have been busy writing prayers for the end of the day, finding out more about each other, writing some super postcards about their summer holidays, producing some beautiful colour wheels while learning about colour mixing, becoming 'rock detectives' in Science and learning more about the British Value of Democracy through School Council voting.

We are very proud to say that 4 children stood as candidates to represent Year 5 in Linmere and there were 7 candidates for Year 4, making it a very tricky and close competition! In the end, Lily was elected for Year 5 (with Sam as runner up) and Ruby was chosen for Year 4 (with Maisie as runner up). All the children prepared super speeches and we have no doubt that the 2 children we have appointed will do a wonderful job representing our class and the school.
