Virtual Assembly--Athlete visit!

Dear Parents and children,

Normally, (if things were normal!) we would have a visit from an athlete in our summer term, who would deliver an assembly for the whole school. The athlete would talk about their childhood, challenges and successes. Our children would research the athlete in class and then compose questions to ask them.

I am delighted to say that it has been arranged for this event to take place through a virtual assembly – date to be confirmed. Our VIP athlete is inline skating champion Jenna Downing. Some of the children may remember her from when she visited our school a couple of years ago.

Several schools have been asked to submit questions for Jenna to answer during the virtual assembly, so I am inviting you to get thinking of a super question that you would like her to answer.

 Then, think carefully about a question you would like to ask Jenna if you were to meet her.

Finally, send your questions to the school office:  admin@overstjohns.cheshire.sch.uk by midday on Friday 15th May.

Let’s see if we can think of some fabulous questions to ask Jenna. The best questions will be submitted to represent Over St John’s School.

Once the recording is available I will arrange for you all to access the full assembly.
