What a great week we have had in Blakemere! The children have worked extremely hard and I have been very impressed with their focus, drive and enthusiasm towards all tasks. We are all settling in nicely to our daily routines and enjoying the challenge that each day brings.

Following the delivery of our strange package last Friday, the children have worked hard and created some excellent instructions for making a peculiar and perilious potion using the ingredients that came. These instructions will be proudly displayed on our 'peculiar potions' display so keep a look out for it.

Maths has focused on working with numbers up to 10 million. We have built them, ordered them, compared them  and completed some challeges involving these extremely large numbers. We have also enjoyed revising Roman Numerals. Next week, we shall be looking at rounding whole numbers.
