Blakemere Class - 02.10.20

Date: 4th Oct 2020 @ 9:38am

What a great week we have had in Blakemere class!

In English, we have recapped using the present perfect tense and modal verbs in our writing. We have planned and begun writing a letter from explorer Matthew Henson’s point of view. Next week, we will finish writing and editing our letters.

In Maths, we have finished our work on rounding numbers and have recapped using the formal methods of addition and subtraction. We finished the week by looking at multi-step problems involving addition and subtraction.

We have studied the House of Wisdom, during our History lesson.

In Science, we have begun planning an investigation based on the best electrical conductors. In Computing, we have planned what we are going to put on each slide of our PowerPoints, which we are going to be creating over the next three weeks.

In RE, we have looked at the role Humanism plays in our modern society.

Please remember to bring your PE kits in on Monday and Tuesday next week.

Please also don't forget your reading book and record on Monday morning!

As discussed with the children in class, our weekly spelling homework will now be under the 'Homework' tab on the Blakemere Class page each week, rather than sending paper copies home.

Enjoy the rest of the weekend.
