Blakemere Class - 25.09.20

Date: 26th Sep 2020 @ 2:43pm

We have had another busy week here in Blakemere class.

On Monday afternoon, we enjoyed another cricket lesson in the sun. Let's hope the weather is just as kind to us next week!

In English lessons, we have finished planning and writing a diary entry based on 'The Stormzy Scholarship'. I have been very impressed by all of the hard work the children have put into their writing this week. Next week, we will be moving on to using the present perfect tense and modal verbs in our writing.

In Maths, we have looked at Roman numerals and rounding numbers.

We have compared life in Baghdad and Europe in AD 1000, during our History lesson. Next week, we will move on to looking at the House of Wisdom in Baghdad.

In Science, we have created a poster based on irreversible and reversible changes.

For our Art lesson this week, we have looked at Islamic Art, and have created a pattern which we use to create a print in the next few weeks.

In RE, we have written an acrostic poem based on what it means to be a Humanist.

Please remember to bring your PE kits in on Monday and Tuesday next week.

Please also don't forget your reading book and record on Monday morning!

As discussed with the children in class, our weekly spelling homework will now be under the 'Homework' tab on the Blakemere Class page each week, rather than sending paper copies home.

Have a nice weekend.

Miss Hartley
