Blakemere's Blog - 01.12.2019

Date: 1st Dec 2019 @ 11:16am

It feels like the weeks are flying by here in Blakemere! We have spent this week learning about some other endangered animals from our text - Can we save the tiger? We also used this text to write in role as a farmer using modal verbs about their actions towards the tigers. We are all thoroughly enjoying this text and are looking forward to exploring more of it next week.

In Maths, we have continued to focus on everything that is fractions. We have begun to compare fractions with different denominators and will be movig on next week to ordering them and adding and subtracting them as well as solving problems. It has been great to see the children's confidence grow in this area of Maths.

Science has continued to focus on the theory of evolution and inheritance and the children have explored and idenitied what are inherited and acquired characters. We expolred the things that we inherit from our parents.

Next week is Enterprise Week and the children have been working incredibly hard on their activities for the Christmas Fair.

SECRET MESSAGE - Name our song for the Christmas Carol Service.

See you all Monday morning,

Mrs M
