Blakemere's Blog - 07.02.2020

Date: 9th Feb 2020 @ 10:01am

We have had another busy week in Blakemere. We have been working hard completing some maths and English practice tests. In English we have also continued focusing upon our new book 'King Kong', and have been completing some short writing tasks - including synonyms and prepositions in our writing.

In Maths, we have contiuned our work on decimals - looking at converting decimals to fractions, and fractions to decimals.

In Science this week we  have planned a scientific enquiry to be completed after half term, based on which everyday materials make the best electrical conductors. We are very interested to find out the results.

Once again we have enjoyed our session of tag rugby outdoors and look forward to our session next week!

In geography we have looked at coasts and the water cycle. In art we have continued drawing a city in China using a focal point and horizon line. In RE we have completed our unit of work based on whether or not Science disputes Genesis. It has been very interesting to see the children debate the key question.

Next week, we look forward to the Year 5/6 Conway Residential.

Have a great weekend,

Miss Hartley
