Another busy and successful week in Blakemere. The children completed their stories this week based on the book Star of Fear, Star of Hope and we are all looking forward to starting our new book next week.

Here are some images which may hint about what our new text is all about:

In Maths, we have begun to explore BIDMAS and the rules that we need to apply when presented with a calculation that has more than one operation in it. The children enjoyed meeting the BIDMAS squad who helped them to learn the order in which calculations need to be completed in.

In history, we have explored past and present images of Chester and found similarities and differences between the images. We discussed why there may have been these differences.

May I remind everyone that reading daily and recording this reading in your reading diary is part of homework. Please try hard to read every day.
