Another extremely busy week here in Blakemere! I am so proud of the children's attitude and drive towards their work. it really is a pleasure to see. We have continued to explore the relationship between fractions and decimals this week and will be taking this further next week to look at their relationship with percentages also. The children worked hard on mulitpying and dividing decimals in both the context of money and measure.

In English, we are continuing to explore The Legend of Beddgelert. The children produced some beautiful setting descriptions this week using excellent vocabulary choices that appealed to the readers senses.

We have continued to look at the Roman Invasion of Britain in topic and have explored the how Britain changed under Roman rule. We looked at and identified some of the different benefits that the Romans brought with them, especially the development of toilets. I have uploaded the 'like a Roman' video to our topic page for you to have a look at and practise the signs.
