Blakemere's Blog - 01.10.2021

Date: 3rd Oct 2021 @ 10:50am

The weeks seem to be moving fast in Blakemere and we are trying hard to achieve so much.

In English, we have continued to explore our new text Star of Fear, Star of Hope and we have been exploring and creating complex sentences. These will improve our writing and cohesion. We have been introduced a little more to some of the characters and hopefull next week we shall meet a few more and learn more about their stories.

We have focused on Negative numbers in Maths this week and the importance of using a number line in order to help us to solve different problems to do with negative numbers. The children became more confident in exploring these throughout the week and we shall continue to build on this leanring as we move forward.

In history, we have explored some of the reasons for why WWII began and have used this information to help us to write an information paragraph to explain these ideas.

We have also been busy rehearsing our Class Collective Worship about our Christian Value, Hope. We shall be using the stroy of Noah's Ark to explain what True Hope is and what it means to Christians.

We have also contonued with our crisp packet blanket project and look forward to exploring this further over the next couple of weeks

I am also loving all the challenges on TTRS. Let's keep this going.

Keep doing what you do Blakemere. I am so proud of you all.
