Blakemere's Blog - 27.06.2021
Date: 27th Jun 2021 @ 8:51pm
Time is certainly flying by now and to think we only have 3 weeks left together as Blakemere 2021 is unbelievable. Lots of exciting things are happening with Blakemere at present. Not only are the children working incredibly hard in all lessons, the Year 6 children are also working hard towards their Year 6 Leavers' play, which this year, will be filmed for families to watch. More information will follow about this, but I can definitely say you are all in for a treat. As well as this, they are also compiling their Leavers' books - a book documenting their journey and memories of Primary School. It is unfortunate that transition days to High SChool have been cancelled, but their is lots of dialogue between us and the feeder high schools.
This week, the children have had their first look at algebra and I have been particulary impressed with thier motivation and commitment. We will continue to build on and develop these skills next week.
In English, we are continuing to learn about the life of Jacques Cousteau and we are now close to the point of writing our own biography about his life.
We have also began to explore the geography of North America.
See you all in the morning
