Blakemere's Week - 30.11.2018

Date: 2nd Dec 2018 @ 7:38pm

I can't quite believe another week has come to an end. They seem to be absolutely 'flying by' now. The children have once again worked extremely hard throughout this week. We began in English by producing some spine poetry about a chosen sea creature - penguin, octopus, shark or sea turtle. The language and descriptions used by the children were fantastic. Maths has continued to focus on fractions, with a particular emphasis on adding and subtracting them. The children, once again, applied their knowledge of finding a common denominator to help them.

We have also had play leader training this week and the children worked hard to identify the skills needed to be an effective play leader, as well as having a go at designing some games for the younger children to take part in at lunch times.

Our week was finished off with Blakemere firslty making their own lanterns on Thursday and then participating in the town's lantern parade on Friday evening. The children's lanterns looked beautiful.

See you all in the morning.
