Blakemere's Weekly Blog - 06.09.2024
Date: 8th Sep 2024 @ 9:42am
What a fabulous first week back in Blakemere we have had? I have been incredibly impressed with the children's attitude and approach to their learning and I am looking forward to seeing what they will achieve over the coming year. Next week, we shall be engaging fully with our curriculum so the pace will increase, but I am sure that the children are ready for this challenge.
We have spent some time this week getting to know each other and thinking about what we are looking forward to in Blakemere this year and maybe some of the things that we may be worried about. We have produced I am... poems about ourselves that have made our first display within our class.
We have created reading recommendations for our peers to be displayed in our reading corner and come up with a list of books that we would like to see in our reading area.
We have also started to explore and recap the place value of 6 and 7-digit numbers in Maths and this is something that we will continue to do next week.
Finally, we have explored our class Christian Value of Hope and produced ourown reflections as to what this means to Christians.
A huge well done to Joshua for winning the raffle ticket prize this week and to Quinn, Phoebe and Holly for having their work selected for excellent examples. They will bring them home next Friday to share with you.
