🌟 Weekly Learning Blog 🌟

Dear Parents and Carers,

We’ve had a fantastic and productive week in class, and the children have thrown themselves into their learning with enthusiasm and curiosity.

📚 English
This week, we planned and began writing our information reports about the Windrush Generation. The children have shown real maturity and interest when exploring this important part of history. We will continue working on these reports next week.

➗ Maths
In Maths, we have been deepening our understanding of decimal numbers with up to two and three decimal places. The children worked hard to explore their place value and apply this understanding to increasingly tricky problems.

🌍 Geography
Our focus in Geography has been climate change. The children created bright, informative posters explaining what climate change is and the impact human activity can have on our planet. Their thoughtful discussions were wonderful to hear.

🔬 Science
We began an exciting investigation this week, exploring whether the number of bulbs or wires in a circuit affects the brightness of the bulb. The children enjoyed making predictions and starting their practical tests—lots of eager scientists in the room!

🙏 Collective Worship
In our class Collective Worship, we reflected on the Christian value of Hope. We discussed why Noah’s Ark is considered a story of hope and what messages we can take from it in our own lives.

🎉 Let’s Celebrate! 🎉

A HUGE well done to this week’s stars:

🌟 Excellent Examples:
Ava, Courban, Lexi-May, Adelaide, Alice

🎵 Times Table Rockstars:
Evie, Danielle, Adelaide

🏆 Worker of the Week:
Kobe

We are incredibly proud of all of you—keep up the amazing effort!

🔔 Gentle Reminders for Home Support

To help your child continue to progress, please support them with the following:

📚 Reading at Home
Reading has dropped significantly recently. Children should be reading at least four times a week—no excuses!
If you need help choosing books, I’m always happy to recommend suitable titles.
Reading books must be in school every day.

🎸 Times Table Rockstars
Short, regular practice works wonders—just a few minutes a day can make a big difference!

✏️ Weekly Spellings
Please ensure your child is practising regularly at home.

👟 PE Days
Tuesday and Friday – PE kits must be in school.

Thank you, as always, for your continued support. We’re looking forward to another exciting week of learning ahead! 😊
