Christmas Celebrations in Hatchmere.

Hatchmere have had a week full of special Christmas activities.

On Thursday the children came into school looking fabulous in their party clothes. At lunchtime we all enjoyed eating Christmas dinner together with our knives and forks. The children were excited to pull crackers and tell the jokes that they found inside. Lots of the children tried new foods and even got to experience the great delight that is Cranberry Sauce! YUM!

Next we enjoyed coming together as a school to take part in Christmas Bingo (thanks to Microsoft Teams). The children enjoyed seeing our whole school family and celebrating together for our bingo winners. We enjoyed Bingo so much we had a couple of in -class sessions 

After Bingo we settled down to our class Christmas party! We began by playing some traditional party games; musical statues, musical bumps and the all-time favourite PASS THE PARCEL! Lots of treats were devoured for our party tea; cakes, crisps, cookies and doughnuts! DOUBLE YUM!

Today, Hatchmere have watched the pantomime 'Once Upon a Panto' in their Christmas jumpers and there was much hilarity particularly at Kerry Corona and the 12 days of Christmas Song. We have been very fortunate to receive gifts from one of our lovely parents that came home today alongside our personal gifts to the children. 

And last but not least, did you know that our children are famous?! Hatchmere were amazed to find out that they were featured in the local newspaper recently TWICE! Please see our private school Facebook page for more details.
