28.04.2016 - Class debate on whether people who cheat should be banned from sports for life!

We have started to explore and learn about the Ancient Olympic games as an introduction to our topic - Journey to South America. We found out that if a person cheated suring the Ancient Olympic games they would have a statue built of them and placed on 'cheaters row' in the arean in Greece. This lead to a class discussion and debate about whether people who cheat in sports today should be banned for life. The children presented some mature, clear and well-thought arguments both for and against the idea. I was very impressed!
