COVID 19 School Closure

Date: 18th Mar 2020 @ 7:00pm

Dear All,

I am sure that you have no doubt heard the government's announcement this evening that schools are to close their doors with effect from the end of the day on Friday. The government has stated that the children of parents who are key workers, those children with a social worker and those children with an EHCP will still be able to attend school.

At this moment in time, I have no further information with regards to this and who key workers might be and as such, I envisage that I will be unable to answer many of the questions that you will no doubt have on arrival at school tomorrow.

However, what I do know is that more will become clear to all education staff during the course of the day and the dedicated team at Over St. John's will be working incredibly hard to make all the necessary arrangments and plans which we will share with you as quickly as we can. These will be around looking after the children as mentioned above and also around more continued learning for you and your children at home during this difficult time.

As I said in today's letter, we will continue to try to be the calm in the storm over these next couple of days and look forward to welcoming your children in the morning. However, when our doors close on Friday I want you to know that you will all be missed greatly and I look forward to the day when I can welcome you all at the gate in the morning again.

Take care of yourselves and each other,

Emma Snowdon
