A big shout out to all of the children in Delamere for some more fantastic Science work this week. We explored food chains and had lots of fun making tubes with different plants and animals stuck on and using them to work through different food chains by placing them over each other like Russian dolls, to show how each animal gets its food.
I wonder if your child can tell you about the key words from this session?
Producer, Consumer, Herbivore, Carnivore, Omnivore, Predator.
Once we had explored lots of different food chains, the children each made their own food chain and we have added them to our Topic display. I think that you will agree that they really do look super! (If you don't see yours on the wall don't worry. There are a few that just need finishing off and then they will be joining the others.)
