Delamere Weekly Blog - 5.5.23

Date: 5th May 2023 @ 3:30pm

Although this week has been a short week we certainly seem to have squeezed a lot in!

This week was Art week, as we prepared for the Coronation celebrations and Delamere were asked to create artwork linked to the Royal Invitation focusing on mini beasts. We think that you will agree that the final results are superb and definitely fit for a King’s Coronation. Please do head over to St. John’s Church to see the completed display.

The rest of the week has been full of Maths revision of skills, practising Arithmetic and Reasoning questions using all of the Maths skills we have learned so far and planning and creating our own fact files about Grasshoppers in our English sessions. Lots of hard work and a fantastic work ethic was demonstrated by all so well done!

We have attached some photos of our beans which are growing much more successfully this time (phew!)

The children are growing in confidence in using the apparatus in Gymnastics and it is great to see some of challenging ourselves to get to that next step. Please do remember to send full PE kits into school on Monday and Thursday, including shorts for Gymnastics.

Finally, we ended our week with a right Royal celebration with our special Coronation lunch. The hall looked absolutely fantastic, a sea of red, white and blue and we all had a great time. Thank you to everyone who worked so hard to put this together.

This week’s Numbots winner is Savannah and our TTRS superstars are Adelaide, Danielle and Toby.

Have a fabulous, long weekend and we look forward to seeing you for more fun and learning on Tuesday the 9th May.
