This week we have :

  • begun a new book called Miranda the Explorer. We have followed Miranda on her journey around the World in her hot air balloon. Can your child remember some of the places that she visited?
  • been comparing and ordering 2 digit numbers. This wasn’t easy and everyone would certainly benefit from more practice of ordering number from smallest to greatest and greatest to smallest.
  • started to create our own maps of  Winsford. So far we have labelled important places such as our school, the River Weaver and of course Macdonald’s!
  • set up an experiment in science to help us find out what helps plants to grow and stay healthy.
  • produced some beautiful watercolours of British plants. They are absolutely stunning, please feel free to pop into the classroom to take a look.
  • learnt how to say some new words in French. See if they can remember them.

We finished off the week meeting some visitors who have come all the way from Uganda in Africa. They told us about the schools they have built there and how they are trying to ensure that many more children living in Uganda get the opportunity to attend school.

Have a lovely weekend. See you bright and breezy on Monday morning!
