Delamere's Blog 26.1.18

Date: 26th Jan 2018 @ 1:31pm

A blog with a difference this week as it has been written by the children.

We wrote Jack and the Beanstalk poems. We had to make a list of 10 things found at the top of a beanstalk .Some of us had to think about 10 things in a giant's castle. It was fun! Then we read te traditional story of Jack and the Beanstalk. It was funny because we have a Jack in our class! We wrote the story in our books. Some people used 3 pages!

In Maths we have been learning about the 2, 5 and 10 times tables. The 10s are quite easy but we need to keep practising so that we can answer questions after one click of the finger. How quick that is!

We started learning about Christopher Columbus who was an explorer. He was traveling around the World, trying to get to China. He ended up in The Bahamas and Cuba.

In PE this week we have played Rugby where we learnt to work as a team to get the most tags. We have also had gymnastics with Miss Pile and we were doing forwards and backwards rolls.

In guided reading we are looking at The Day the Crayons quit. This week we had to design a relaxation zone where the crayons could relax because in the book some of them are very cross.

On Friday we used the Learnpads in our Computing lesson.

See you all next week for more fun and new learning, from Delamere Class.
