What have we been up to this week?

• On Monday we managed to do our PE outside. It has rained for the last few! We had great fun improving our throwing and catching skills using balls and hoops. 
• We have explored the four countries that make up Great Britain. 
• On Thursday we researched key British landmarks by using a children’s google search engine on the Learnpads. 
• On Friday we checked on the beans we have planted. The ones on the window are doing well but the ones in the cupboard have only grown roots and they have no green on them at all. 
• We have also made some cress head people by sowing cress seeds on damp cotton wool. We can’t wait to see how long it takes to grow. 
• Maths has focused on counting in steps of 2, 5 , 10 and 3. 
• In English we have done some more work on using conjunctions and noun phrases. Next week we are going to start planning our own adventure stories.

I have already had to go shopping to fill up the reading prize basket. A big well done for all the fantastic support from home.
