Delamere's Blog 6.10.17

The end of another fun filled week in Delamere. Here is a summary of some the exciting things we have been doing. 

• We have been checking our beans and cress heads. Our experiment has shown us that plants need water and light to help them grow and stay healthy. The beans and cress in the cupboard grew but the leaves were yellow and did not look healthy.
• Using pic collage, we recorded the results of our bean experiment.
• In art we have started to learn about a famous British artist called Turner. This week we began by having our own art exhibition to look at some of his paintings. We had to tell each other what we thought about each painting.
• In geography we used atlases and the internet to help us locate famous landmarks around Great Britain and the UK. We learnt that there are 3 countries in Great Britain and 4 countries in the UK.
• In guided reading we went to the Moon!! Can your child tell you about the book we are reading?
