In English this week we have been blown away by the progress made! A big shout out goes to Spencer D who stepped up his independent writing and blew our sock off with his use of basic skills alongside some super word choices. Absolutely outstanding!

In Maths we have practised, practised, practised our number bonds to 10 and have begun to use the recall of these facts to help us add by making ten. This is a tricky skill that we will continue with next week. Please practise number bonds to 10 whenever you can as it is a really important foundation for so much of our Maths.

As Scientists this week, we researched an unfamiliar habitat, the Antarctica, and found our lots of interesting facts out about Emperor Penguins, think about why they are well suited to this very harsh habitat and any adaptations that they have made to ensure that they can survive there, like the thick layer of fat that helps to keep them warm and their wide beaks that help them to eat whole fish.

Our big well done this week goes to our Numbots winners Danielle, Adelaide and Olivia.

We hope that you have a super weekend and look forward to lots more fun and learning next week.
