Delamere’s Update 11.1.19

This week has been an amazing start to 2019. The children have really impressed me with everything they have achieved already.

Our new topic is called Who Thought Of That? We have begun by exploring what an inventor is and realised that anyone can be an inventor.

In English we have begun a new book called The Dragon Machine. The children’s writing in response to this has been of a really high quality.

To finish the week we started our new unit of work in art which is all about portraits. We created our own self-portraits after looking at ourselves very carefully. I don’t think I have ever seen such brilliant drawings from 6 and 7 year olds. I hope that you agree when you take a look below
