Delamere's Weekly blog - 10.10.25

What a fantastic week of learning and creativity we've had in Delamere Class!
Maths
This week, we’ve been deepening our understanding of numbers up to 100 using number lines. The children explored placing both tens and ones on the line, and they were absolutely fascinated by our very high-tech counting stick! It might even make its way onto a few Christmas lists this year! We’re so proud of the progress everyone has made – well done, Delamere!
English – Space Adventure Diaries! 🚀
This week in English, Delamere Class blasted off into space through their imaginations! We began with an exciting role play session where the children became astronauts on a thrilling space adventure. From there, they used their brilliant ideas to write their very own diary entries about their trip to space.
The creativity and effort they put into their writing was truly out of this world. The children worked incredibly hard and we are so proud of the amazing results!
Art
We had a wonderfully quirky drawing session where the children practised sketching leaves without seeing their hands! With cardboard threaded onto their pencils, they drew blind – and the results were brilliant! We also explored wax resist techniques as a pre-teach, and the children are buzzing with excitement to try it out next week.
PSHCE
In PSHCE, we reflected on the people who help keep us safe. The children created thoughtful posters to celebrate these important figures in their lives.

PE & Outdoor Learning
Our PE sessions were full of energy and teamwork! The children practised rolls, jumps, and different ways of moving, then worked in groups to create sequences to music. A special shout-out to Archie, Coby, and Holly for their beautiful teamwork!
We also ventured outside to build bug hotels using natural materials. It was wonderful to see the children’s imaginations come alive as they collaborated and created cosy homes for our mini-beast friends.

RE
In RE, we recorded our findings from our research into Jewish beliefs about God. The children showed great curiosity and respect in their learning.
