Delamere's Weekly blog - 12.5.23

Date: 12th May 2023 @ 3:51pm

Another busy week in Delamere with lots crammed into another 4 day week!

We hope that you enjoyed the long weekend and it was lovely to hear the children’s experiences of watching the Coronation on Saturday. It really felt like we were part of History!

In English this week we have had a real focus on reading and the children have been using all of their detective skills to answer some tricky questions about what they have read, looking for clues and hunting for key words and phrases.

In Maths we have continued to work on our arithmetic skills, solving addition, subtraction, multiplication and division calculations and we are super proud of how the children are applying the skills that they have practised all year to solve a variety of different problems.

We thought about flight in our Gymnastics session and how we can use our bodies as we move through the air.

We think that Jack must have visited our classroom recently as we have some giant beanstalks growing on the windowsill!! What a difference to last time. We thought about how our beans have changed over time and considered what has helped them to grow healthy and strong. Next week we will look at our test beans to see if they have changed in the different conditions.

Our big WELL DONE this week goes to our TTRS winners Danielle, Toby and Adelaide.

We hope that you have a wonderful weekend and we look forward to a FULL week of fun and learning next week.
