Delamere's Weekly Blog - 17.3.2023

What a lovely sunny end to another busy week!

In English this week we were so excited to read the end of the story and find out what happened to George. We looked at making verbs into past tense and then later in the week used these write diary entries about George’s flight in the dragon machine.

In Maths we have been some of our fantastic calculation skills to solve word problems involving both one and two steps! Well done Delamere we can really see how your confidence has grown with this.

In RE we explored the Parable of the Lost Sheep and what this told us about being rescued and found by God. We even helped out a shepherd and found 1 of his 100 sheep who he had lost.We will use this to support our learning as we look at the idea of Salvation in the Easter story.

This week has been Science week and the focus this year is connections. We used our recent learning about materials to think about how we could make a felt tip rainbow travel across some kitchen roll and ‘connect’ with the other side. The children were so excited to see that as the kitchen roll absorbed the water, the colours of the rainbow travelled up until they connected at the top.

This week we have Danielle, Thea and Lily-Amelia at the top of our Numbots leader board so we are sending a big WELL DONE your way!

We hope that you have a wonderful weekend and look forward to more fun and learning next week.
