Delamere's Weekly Blog - 19.09.25
Date: 19th Sep 2025 @ 12:15pm
Wow! What a busy and brilliant week we've had in Delamere Class! The children have been working their socks off and we are so proud of them.
📝 English
We’ve been learning all about Mae Jemison, the amazing astronaut! We wrote our own fact files and practised using the word “and” to join our sentences. Super writing, everyone!

🔢 Maths
Yes, you guessed it – more counting! We’ve been using tens and ones to understand numbers better. This week, we learned how to use a place value chart to help us stay organised. Remember: 2 tens = 20, not 2! Great job, Delamere mathematicians!

🕍 RE
We learned about the Torah and how special it is to Jewish people. Then we made our own Torah scrolls using paper and lolly sticks. They looked fantastic!

🎨 Art
We explored the work of Alice Fox, who uses nature to inspire her art. We looked closely at leaves, conkers, and acorns, and used watercolours to match their colours. Our Nature Colours Collection is beautiful!

🤸♀️ PE
In gymnastics, we practised tuck, pike, straddle, and star positions. A big well done to Coby and Roxie for their amazing stretches and body shapes! We also had a fun cricket session on Wednesday and went on a scavenger hunt in our outdoor area on Thursday.

👑 History
We started researching the three queens to find out what they are remembered for. We can’t wait to learn more next week!
