Another busy week in Delamere and the children are really starting to get into the groove of Year 2!

English this week has been all about Troll Swap. We have met the two main characters now, Timothy Limpet and Tabitha Lumpit and we have quickly realised that that they are both very different. We have designed and described our own trolls and written speech bubbles for Tabitha parents who don’t know what to do with their loud, loopy daughter. A super effort from everybody and it is great to see the children so enthused about the book.

In Maths this week we have been focusing on placing numbers on number lines, looking for midpoints and using what we know about other numbers to see where they might go.

We were Scientists this afternoon and thought about things that are living, not living and have never been alive. Some great discussions took place and we cannot wait to see what we discover as we continue our unit of Living things and their Habitats.

In R.E. our Holy Spirit crosses are coming on nicely and we will aim to post some pictures of the completed work next week.

Our big WELL DONE this week goes to Thea, Danielle and Adelaide who scored the most coins on Numbots and Hudson, Thea and Poppy who are this week’s Excellent Examples.
