Delamere's Weekly Blog - 25.3.2022

Date: 25th Mar 2022 @ 5:32pm

What a busy week that was! This week has been filled with lots of RE, Geography, multiplication, spelling, playing on the field and singing around the fire circle (it wasn’t lit!)

What a wonderful time we had on Wednesday for World Maths Day!  We started the day by reading the book 'How many jellybeans?' and explored the representation of each set of numbers from 10 all the way up to 1 000 000 000!  After that we completed  statistics activities starting with sorting jelly sweets by colour and creating our very own sweetie charts. using these charts we then created our own pictograms.  Phew we were super busy and we didn't stop there!  Our next task was to answer questions about the data we had gathered such as which is the most popular colour jelly sweet?  which is the least?  How many jellybeans all together?

We had a fantastic time and no sweeties were eaten along the way except perhaps one or two ... by Mrs Williamson!

Delamere, we are so proud of each and every one of you today as all of your hard work paid off with a wonderful class assembly! You were confident, mature and enthusiastic in the way that you delivered our important message about Compassion and we think that you are all superstars!

Another big WELL DONE for our Numbots winners, Ava, Keiya and Connie! I wonder who will win next week.

Have a great weekend and we look forward to seeing you next week for lots more fun and learning. Don’t forget to practise our Easter poem for Friday’s Easter Service!
