Delamere's Weekly Blog - 27.9.2024

Well done Delamere for another successful week – lots of progress made and many great achievements!
In English we began the week by learning about another character in our story ‘Troll Swap’. We met Tabitha who is not like other boys and girls because she is loud and loopy and messy. We gathered lots of descriptive language and used this to write our own descriptions of Tabitha. Some fantastic work was produced!
In Maths we have continued to partition numbers to 100 but have also had a focus on writing numbers to 100 in words. This is quite a tricky skill and could be an extra, quick activity to practise at home.
In other areas of the curriculum we used charcoal in Art, completed our shoe tying work in PSHE, placed events on a timeline in History, matched descriptions to Christian symbols in RE, created posters in E-Safety and learned about Jelly fish and Octopuses in Shared Reading – Wow, we really did cram a lot in!
Our big WELL DONE this week goes to Bobby who topped the leader board for both the highest number of minutes played and the highest number of coins earned this week! Well done also to the other children who got certificates, Reuben, Eliza and Daneel. Keep up the good work and let’s see some more children on the leader board next week. Remember you’ve got to be in it to win it so don’t forget to log on and play regularly.
We hope that you have a wonderful weekend and look forward to lots more fun and learning next week.
