Another very busy week in Delamere!
It has been great to see so many children accessing the Times Table Rock Stars website. If you haven’t had chance yet please do have a go. Remember, first place will receive 30 raffle tickets, second place 20 raffle tickets and third place 10 raffle tickets. Also, don’t forget about Numbots!
In English this week we have been writing for lots of different purposes, including a set of instructions, a diary entry and an eye witness report, all linked to our beautiful class text ‘The Great Fire of London’. It has been brilliant to see the children growing in confidence in applying al of the mastery skills that we have learnt so far this year.
In Maths we have continued with our Multiplication and Division unit but moved on to focus on sharing and making equal groups. This is the foundation to support our understanding of division and we are really pleased with how the children have got on. We have also continued our learning about 2D and 3D Shapes, looking at what vertices are and how many vertices different shapes have. I wonder if your child can tell you what a vertex is?
This afternoon we went on a minibeast hunt and saw lots of different creatures in a variety of microhabitats. Check out the photos below.
Our Numbots winners are Adelaide and Danielle and our TTRS winners are Danielle, Elissa and Toby. All raffle tickets will be added to the golden tin. What a lot to celebrate in Delamere! Well done everyone!
