Delamere's Weekly Blog - 7.10.2022

Date: 7th Oct 2022 @ 4:49pm

This week has been jam packed!

In English we have continued to dig deeper into our story ‘Troll Swap’ and think about how Tabitha felt being able to be a loopy, loud girl living with the trolls but also how her Mum and dad missed her. We worked hard to include the words ‘and’ and ‘because’ in our writing and, as always, lots of lovely noun phrases to make our writing more interesting. The children are becoming so much more confident in working independently and lot of us have written our own diaries and letters this week which is amazing!

In Maths, we have continued to work with place value to 100, playing lots of games and solving problems. Next week we will move on to counting in 2s, 3s, 5s and 10s.

In our shared reading at the beginning of the week, we used our super reading skills to find out about star fish and then on Friday we carefully followed some instructions to make our own shark pictures and, we think that you will agree, they have turned out brilliantly!

In computing we explored what an Avatar is, made our own Avatars and thought about what kind of IT we might find in a supermarket.

Our big WELL DONE this week goes to our Numbots winners, Savannah, Hudson and Danielle.

We hope that you have a fantastic weekend and look forward to lots more fun and learning next week.
