Delamere's Weekly Blog - 8.12.22

Date: 9th Dec 2022 @ 4:07pm

December is whizzing by and the children have been busy practising our class Christmas song this week. The lyrics are attached below and it would be great if you could please practise them at home. We can't wait to show you how super we are at the Church Service on Wednesday. Please see Mrs Snowdon's blog for further details.

In English the children explored the night and daytime sky, creating wonderful noun phrases to describe what they could see.

In Maths we have been focusing on adding 3 1-digit numbers, using our number bonds to ten to help us do so efficiently.

In RE we continued to explore Jesus as a King, and thought about what the visit of the Wisemen might tell us about him. Lots of super ideas such as “he is special”, “he is King of the Jews”, “he is sent from God.” We then thought about gifts that we could give to Jesus that were fit for a King.

Our big WELL DONE this week goes to Adelaide, Danielle and Lily-Amelia for their fantastic efforts with Numbots and our Excellent Examples go to Lucas and Alice-Lily for great partner work in English.

We hope that you have a wonderful week and look forward to seeing you all for more festive fun and learning next week.
