Fantastic Friday in Delamere

Date: 7th May 2021 @ 11:59am

Another great couple of days in Delamere! In Maths we have explored dividing by both 5 and 10 and the children are showing great confidence with this skill.

In English the children really enjoyed talking about, drawing and writing about one of their own toys, using the present tense. It is always lovely to see the children talk passionately about the things that are so special to them.

In Science we continued our learning about plants, looking closely at a variety of seeds and bulbs. We were amazed to think that within a tiny seed there is everything that is needed to grow into a beautiful mature plant. We also continued to observe our beans that we planted last week and were so excited to see that some of them have begun to germinate! We saw some tiny roots (embryos) that had burst out of the seeds. We will keep you posted on the progress of our beans over the next few weeks.

In PE this Friday, our coach focused on multi-skills linked to relay racing. We had lots of fun whilst building up our team work.

There has been some awesome work produced this week and it was really hard to choose, but here are the children who were chosen as Excellent Examples this week.

Lucas, Mia and Eva E.

And here are the Numbots winners. It is lovely to see some new names at the top of the leader board.
