Hello Hatchmerians!

The children have been amazing this week!

Hatchmere have been on a journey around London! Each child has created their own story map about their journey and followed this map to create a fabulous piece of writing that has been celebrated with all the teachers around the school. Everyone is very impressed with their writing skills. Well done Hatchmere!

Our Mathematicians have been pouring, filling, talking about which container holds the most or holds the least. Lots of talking about capacity! More, adding, fewer, equal…just marvellous.

Mr Pasquill has been to watch the children in their Gymnastic session and was very impressed at their attitude and perseverance! Mrs Teece was very proud of them all. Another audience came to watch the children’s dance lessons! Mrs Snowdon, Mrs McFarland and Mrs Rutherford were amazed at the talent and passion on display as the children showed them what a super dance crew they are.

To top the week off the children have been learning about the meaning of Mental Health. The focus theme has been ‘Growing Together’, so Hatchmere have been learning how to ride the balance bikes and encouraging each other to keep going when we find it a bit tricky.  We have looked at a range of emotions and what we can do to help ourselves keep mentally healthy. Hatchmere have created an emotion bouquet of their feelings throughout today (Friday). Ask them what each colour means.

Mrs Kelly and I are looking forward to another brilliant week next week.
