Hatchmere's Class Blog 13.9.24

Date: 12th Sep 2024 @ 10:29am

This has been Hatchmere’s very first full week at big school! You would not believe how well they are entering the classroom and getting all of their things organised ready to start the day. They are amazing!

It has been another week where the children have spent a lot of time outside, developing their gross motor control, climbing, carrying, and digging. They have also been working on their hand eye coordination by scootering, biking, balancing, tipping and pouring. Alongside this their fine motor skills have been practiced daily, working on pencil grip, using stickers, scissors, glue sticks and careful page turning.

Getting dressed, undressed and then dressed again for P.E has been a huge success with most of Hatchmere managing completely independently….well done adults at home for working on and encouraging this with your child. It really boosts their self-esteem to be as independent as possible in their self-care.

Next week see’s our full learning timetable begin which includes our daily Monster Phonic lessons which the children cannot wait to begin. Below you can click on and download the learning plan for the week where you will also find a parental involvement task for adults to carry out at home over this weekend. There is also a link to our class Wake Up and Shake Up dance which we have enjoyed every morning.
