Hatchmere's Class Blog 14.10.22

Date: 14th Oct 2022 @ 3:20pm

All things Autumn were happening in Hatchmere this week.

Firstly, may we thank those adults that supported the class as they went on their autumn adventure on Monday? I am sure you will agree that the children excelled themselves in perseverance and behaviour. We had a super time collecting autumn treasures, enjoyed a small break inside of Winsford Cricket Club and then had the treat of some time on Knights Grange play park. The children's little legs did them proud! Also, Over St Johns would like to send a personal thank you to Winsford Cricket Club, in particular Ant, who took time out of his day to open the Cricket Club for a short while so that Hatchmere could use the bathroom and enjoy their snack. It is so lovely to see a local community club invested in the importance of children's education and willing to play a part in it.

In Math's this week we have used our autumn treasures to create patterns and explore the number 3. The children were challenged to independently create 2 part patterns and they were so proud of themselves when the task was completed without any adult intervention. Well done Hatchmere!

During literacy the children have confidently retold the story of The Gingerbread Man from start to finish. They are now able to tell their families a bedtime story all on their own. Why don't you encourage them to do this and let us know how they get on?

Today has seen the children have their first ‘official’ OSJ school photograph. Each child has their own code so that you may view the pictures and purchase them if you would like. We had the pleasure of seeing each child’s beautiful smile and can assure you that you are in for a treat when you view them.
